Welcome to the official blog of Thorn & Key. I'm Dr. Emilia Thorne, and together with the other Curators here, I'm thrilled to embark on this journey with you.
Our Story
Thorn & Key was born out of a love for the enigmatic and the beautiful. Seven years ago, our founder Alanna co-founded a tabletop game studio, where she grew to love the world of immersive storytelling and innovative gameplay. However, a desire to create something more personal and uniquely her own led to the birth of her own immersive gaming brand Thorn & Key in 2024.
With a passion for blending art, storytelling, and creativity, our founder set out to craft a brand that celebrates individuality, curiosity, and the imagination. And so, Thorn & Key came into existence, inspired by the aesthetics of dark cottagecore and dark academia, whimsical charm, and a deep-seated love for all things quirky and just that slight bit odd.
